NEW SERVICE CHIEFS: CONYSA COMMENDS PMB

 COALITION OF NIGERIA YOUTHS ON SECURITY AFFAIRS (CONYSA) COMMEND HIS EXCELLENCY PMB,  CONGRATULATES THE NEWLY APPOINTED SERVICE CHIEFS AND CHARGED THEM TO ASSUME THEIR VARIOUS RESPONSIBILITIES WITH A  MISSION TO RESCUE NIGERIA

The National President of Coalition of Nigeria Youths on Security Affairs, Amb. (Prophet.) Ade mario Emmanuel applauded His Excellency President Muhammadu Buhari for a paradigm shift in replacing the service chiefs as he appoints, Major-General Leo Irabor as Chief of Defence Staff; Major-General I. Attahiru as Chief of Army Staff;  Rear Admiral A.Z Gambo as Chief of Naval Staff; and Air-Vice Marshal I.O Amao as Chief of A

ir Staff respectively.

While making the commendation, the  National President of CONYSA said that: "this decision is the best at the moment especially amidst unending insecurity challenges that we found ourselves today, which ranges from Kidnapping, banditry, armed robbery and her likes"

The CONYSA Presidents added that "though this day light decision those not come as a surprise. I believe Mr President must have been nursing this idea ever since he summoned the security heads and said: THEIR BEST, IS NOT GOOD ENOUGH"

The National President of CONYSA however, join million well wishers of the outgoing service chiefs to send in his best wishes and regards. 

The CONYSA President therefore seize this golden opportunity,  to congratulates the new appointees charging them not to relent in their effort to combat the heightened insecurity situation ravaging the country. 

While putting up this challenge, Mr President said that "if you must succeed, you must all see your new appointment not just as individuals whom have attained the peak of their profession but as a patriotics whom were tasked with a #RESCUE MISSION. You must all therefore, sit up, map out modalities and work assiduously to be able to succeed"

He added that: "Mr President and Commander in Chief of Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria who appoints you including million Nigerians look up to you and God for their safety. You must therefore, work tirelessly together as a team in order to justify the confidence reposed in you"

 

While we wish you a successful tenure in office, we look forward to approach you for partnership and dialogue, for the security of this Nation, is a concern and a call for all; especially, the youths

JUST-IN FAYEMI MAKES PEACE WITH MIYETTI-ALLAH GROUP IN AKURE

 COMMUNIQUE ISSUED AT THE END OF THE MEETING OF THE GOVERNORS’ FORUM WITH THE LEADERSHIP OF MIYETTI-ALLAH CATTLE BREEDERS ASSOCIATION OF NIGERIA (MACBAN) AND THE HEADS OF SECURITY AGENCIES ON EMERGING SECURITY CHALLENGES IN THE SOUTH-WEST GEO-POLITICAL ZONE

HELD AT THE INTERNATIONAL CULTURE AND EVENT CENTRE (DOME), AKURE, ONDO STATE ON MONDAY, 25TH JANUARY, 2021. 

Following the Executive Order of the Governor of Ondo State, Arakunrin Oluwaratim Odunayo Akeredolu SAN, to the Fulani Herdsmen illegaly occupying the State Forest Reserves to vacate within seven days With effect from Monday 18" January, 2021, the Nigeria Governors' Forum led by its Chairman, Dr. Kayode Fayemi met with the leadership of Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN), security agencies and other stakeholders on 25th January, 2021 at the International Centre for Culture and Events (DOME), Alagbaka, Akure, Ondo State to find lasting solutions to the incessant killings, kidnapping and crises between herdsmen and farmers in the Southwest geo-political zone of the country.

Meeting discussed vigorously and resolved that: 

The security and welfare of the people of Nigeria is the primary purpose of Government as enshrined in the 1999 constitution of N igeria as amended. 

The stakeholders are committed to the unity and indivisibility of Nigeria. 

Insecurity is a national challenge and not peculiar to any tribe or region but must be addressed by the cooperation of all. 

The order of the Ondo State Governor was misconstrued and misrepresented by a section of the media. He only ordered those occupying the Forest Reserves in Ondo State illegally to quit. 

Criminals should be apprehended and punished, no matter their origin, class or status.

Security agencies have been trying to stem the tide of criminality in the country but must step up their efforts in the fight. 

There is the need to build partnership for peace and security with MACBAN and jointly wage war against criminality. 

No one had sent anyone away from any state or region but all hands must be on deck to fight criminality. 

MACBAN is a peace loving, law abiding organization which does not habour or condone criminals and agreed that: 

(i) Night grazing should be banned henceforth 

(ii) Under age herding is Inimical to security and hence be banned 

(iii) Occupation of State Forest Reserves illegally is condemned.

MACBAN also suffers insecurity and kidnapping and thus desire peaceful coexistence. 

MACBAN is ready for any peaceful move by the states to engender security. 

Fake news is another issue that makes our security worse than solving it. 

There must be an enduring framework with MACBAN in a way that will help address security issues.

That free range grazing must be stopped to avoid conflicts between the farmers and the herders 

Strengthening an alternative security arrangements and make them complementary to the mainstream security agencies in Nigeria. 

MACBAN should embrace and be committed to modern breeding process by creating grazing reserves and practice ranching to prevent cattle roaming about. 

Standing Committee comprising of farmers, MACBAN and the Government should be set up in each state (where they don't exist) to ensure synergy and result. 

We must create economic opportunities for our people and reduce opportunities for criminalities in our country

THE RECKLESS VITUPERATION OF A COMMON AIDE AGAINST A DULY ELECTED PEOPLE'S REPRESENTATIVE A SAD STORY OF A COUNTRY DRIFTING TO A BANANA REPUBLIC

It is no gainsaying to state that every onlooker in the face of this struggle is either a coward or betrayal. 

We have read with so much reservations the statement credited to Garba Shehu on the executive order of Ondo State governor. A decision which is the right step in the right direction to tame the ugly monster of insecurity in Ondo State. 

We will be forced to call for the sack of this highly clanish soul outrightly supporting onslaught against law abiding citizens in the name of presidency. In a saner clime and where dignity is held in high esteem following the backlash across the country, Mr. Garba Shehu would have honorably resigned. 

However, we are not suprise that such an aide who is confident to challenged a constituted authority representing the voice of an entire state, knows no decency nor honor.

Once again on behalf of our movement #SecureOndo we thank the entire youths and well meaning Nigerians who stood up in the defense of the clanish provocative statement from an ethnic chauvinist capable of setting the nation to a path of war and wathom destruction of lives and properties. 

Consequently, the real enemies of Nigeria are being exposed and those by their actions and inactions supporting criminalities and insecurity in the country. 

We wish to state categorical, vehemently without mincing words that we stand with our Governor, Arakurin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu SAN. 

The matter of security is everybody's business and in Ondo State, we do not compromise such for whatever reasons, not even political or religious reasons. We remain apolitical in the defense of our heritage and it is non negotiable. 

Furthermore, to show our commitment towards the aforementioned, #SecureOndo is in talk with all youth bodies, artisans, students' union and all structure of our State to discuss further robust strategies and way forward in the actualization of a secured Ondo State.

Like the President Elect of the United States, said in the Eve of his inauguration _*in other for us to heal we must remember.*_ We must remember those who is aiding and tearing the nation apart, gradually drifting it to a banana republic for reasons unknown to us.

Our president, Muhammadu Buhari as over and over reiterated, that "Nigeria is our only country and we have no other country, let those who think they have other countries leave" rather than destroy the last fabric of our union. 

We, are grateful once more to the spontaneous reactions of our people to #SecureOndo. This is support is  immeasurable.

We thank you all, and wishes to admonish our people not to loose guards and await further practical instructions as we take our State back and restore it to its glorious days of safe haven.
