In his congratulatory message, the commissioner stated, "I, on behalf of myself, my family, and the good people of Ekiti East Local Government, wishes to register my heartfelt congratulations to my mentor, His Excellency, Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji, on his one-year in office today, October 16th, 2023."

"Your Excellency, you have justified the mandate graciously and mercifully given to you by God and the vast majority of the good people of Ekiti State. Since the government is a continuum, your administration in Ekiti State has consolidated on the gains of the past administration, and you have seen the successful completion of some major legacy projects as a way of sustaining development in the State."
